Local Festivals
Allendale is famous for the annual New Year’s Eve celebrations, The Tar Barrel Festival which has been held for 170 years. The Allendale Agricultural Show is in August. In September there is a three-day music festival, The Allendale Folk Fest, including the burning of the “wolf”. May Bank Holiday sees the Allendale May Fair.
